The defect

It is possible that there may be a leak at the fuel rails in the injection system.

The hazard

In some isolated circumstances, there is a potential of a small fuel leakage causing a fuel smell from the vehicle and in extreme worst case situations, if the fuel leak comes in contact with an ignition source, there is potential for fire.

The remedy

Consumers will be contacted via post. The remedy to this problem is to inspect the fuel injection system and as a precaution, replace the fuel rails and thermostat.
