Where to find your VIN

Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is a unique 17-character code that identifies your specific vehicle. You'll find it:

On the driver's side dashboard, visible through the windshield
Inside the driver's side door jamb
On your vehicle registration papers
On your insurance policy

What we check

We match your VIN against every affected-VIN list published on vehiclerecalls.gov.au. VINs cannot contain the letters I, O, or Q.
