Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to an improper manufacturing process, the electrical power steering wiring harness may become trapped between the subframe and the subframe closing plate on right hand drive vehicles.

The hazard

If the harness gets trapped, it may short circuit and cause loss of power assistance with a warning to the driver, and pose a fire hazard in limited circumstances. If this occurs while the vehicle is being driven, it may increase the risk of an accident, potentially injuring vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Consumers should contact their nearest Bentley Dealer via https://www.bentleymotors.com/en/apps/dealer-locator.html/country/AU-Australia to arrange for their vehicle to be inspected and repaired, where required.
