The defect

There is a potential problem with the gear shift lever due to an error in the manufacturing process.

The hazard

The interference fit between the lever tip pin and the gear shift lever may not perform, in rare cases, may cause the pin to come out, increasing the risk of a crash. This may cause serious injury to riders and other road users.

The remedy

Ducati Australia will contact by way of direct letter to affected owners to notify them of the recall and request owners to contact their nearest authorised Ducati Dealer to arrange an appointment.Authorised Ducati dealers will inspect the gear shift lever and if necessary, the component will be replaced free of charge.For further information, consumers can contact there nearest Authorised Ducati dealer by using the following link https://www.ducati.com/au/en/dealers, or alternatively write to info@ducati.com.au.
