The defect

In certain vehicles, the Owner's Manual supplied may not contain all relevant information required by the mandatory standard. In other vehicles, the Owner's Manual may not have been supplied.

The hazard

If the incorrect information is included in the Owner's Manual, this will affect the driver and vehicle occupants as they may potentially misuse or not know information about things such as the seat belts, child anchorage systems, vehicle notifications and operations.

The remedy

Honda Australia will contact affected owners in writing when manuals become available from 7 January 2019. Once notification is received, affected consumers should book an appointment with their preferred Honda dealer. The Owner's Manual will be replaced, or supplied, free of charge.For further information, call Honda Australia on 1800 804 954 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 6pm EDST).
