The defect

The piston component material located in the hand brake master cylinder (front brake) may crack or become damaged.Should that occur it can adversely affect front brake function or performance.

The hazard

Should the front brake master cylinder piston fail, the consequence is a loss of front braking ability.This can increase the risk of an accident.

The remedy

Consumers will be contacted by direct mail notifying them of the recall.Consumers should contact an authorised Husqvarna dealer to arrange an appointment for their motorcycle.The piston in the handbrake cylinder will be replaced with an updated part, free of charge.Authorised dealers can be located at http://www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/au/dealer-search/
