Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

The function to indicate Automatic Transmission failure was not programmed in the Electronic Control Module (ECM). This was due to a mismatch of On-Board Diagnosis communication architecture between the new Electronic Control Module and old Controlled Area Network.

The hazard

The Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) does not illuminate and the driver is unaware of the concern, which may be an emissions regulation non-compliance.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by direct mail and advised to contact their Infiniti Dealer to have the ECM reprogrammed with updated logic.
