The defect
The improper welding between the centre stand spring mounting pin and left side centre stand bracket may cause the pin to shift or fall off resulting in the centre stand spring detaching.

The hazard
If the centre stand spring becomes detached it could drop to the ground while being ridden. This could affect the handling of the motorcycle and cause loss of control increasing the risk of injury or death.
The remedy
