The hazard

There is a risk that the tensioning cable may be unleashed and cause an injury to an occupant of the motor vehicle. If the cable breaks during pretensioner deployment, the cable will not be able to restrain the occupant to the full capacity during an accident.

The remedy

Contact their nearest Kia dealer to have the vehicle inspected and Seat Belt Pretensioner replaced if neccesary. This repair will be performed free of charge.
