The defect

The high pressure fuel pumps could be damaged under specific operating conditions. This damage can lead to abnormal noise and vibration and, over time, can cause the pumps to develop a fatigue crack.

The hazard

If the vehicle is operated continuously under these conditions, the crack could expand and fuel may leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a vehicle fire.

The remedy

A recall notification will be sent to the owner advising of this recall and requesting the vehicle be presented to their preferred Lexus Dealer.Owners who require more information can contact their preferred Lexus Dealer or contact the Lexus Customer Assistance Centre on 1800 023 009 (Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm AEDT).
