The defect

The steel balls which are used to seal the processing bores of the valves may not be secured properly in the housing and may come loose.

The hazard

If the balls come loose in the housing, the valves may bleed and activate the parking brake or the anti-jack knife brake.

The remedy

Letters will be sent out to all affected customers.Customers should contact their nearest MAN Dealer to organise the vehicle to have the valves inspected for production date and build status and corrected as required.
