The defect

It is possible that the engine crankshaft pulley has not been manufactured to correct specifications and may disintegrate during operation.

The hazard

If the pulley disintegrates during operation of the motor, ejected parts may cause a traffic hazard to other road users. If the pulley disintegrates during servicing, this may pose a serious impact hazard to technicians.

The remedy

Consumers should contact their nearest dealer, or contact Fuso Truck & Bus Service Dept. on (03) 9566 6228 to arrange for inspection and repair if required.
