The defect

Due to insufficient bolt torque, the nudge bar roll hoop fixing bolts may come loose causing the roll hoop to rattle and in rare instances, may detach from the vehicle.

The hazard

If the bolted connections become detached or the components fail, the nudge bar may detach from the vehicle, posing an accident risk to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Nissan will contact owners of affected vehicles at their last known address, with instructions to contact a Nissan dealership to arrange for the nudge bar to be reworked free of charge.Owners can find their nearest dealership using the 'Find a Dealer' tab at http://www.nissan.com.au/For further information please contact the Nissan Customer Service Centre toll free on 1800 035 035 Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 6pm AEST.
