The defect

The power steering high pressure hose may separate over time as a result of incorrect clamp fittings. If this occurs, the power steering fluid may leak.

The hazard

This could lead to a gradual increase in steering effort due to the loss of power steering assistance. If the power steering fluid leaks onto a heat source, it may lead to a fire.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be advised to contact their Nissan dealer to arrange for the inspection and repair of their vehicle.
