The defect

The driver side airbag inflator may have been incorrectly assembled.

The hazard

If the airbag does not deploy correctly there is an increased risk of injury to the driver during a collision.

The remedy

Consumers within the affected VIN range will be advised to contact their nearest Nissan dealer to arrange for inspection and repairs.Nissan Australia’s intent is for this Recall Campaign to commence in December 2014.
