The defect

The fuel supply and return pipes located under the body may become damaged over time due to relative movement between the pipes and the body guidance ribs.

The hazard

If left unrepaired, diesel fuel may leak from the damaged pipes onto the ground, causing a potential fire hazard. This may cause injury or death of vehicle occupants, other road users or cause property damage.

The remedy
