The defect

The spare wheel assembly attachment bolts may loosen and cause excessive vibration, which may cause the bolts to break.

The hazard

If the bolts break and the spare wheel assembly separates from the vehicle, the spare wheel could drop to the ground, posing an accident or injury risk to the vehicle occupants or other road users.

The remedy
