The defect
The linkage between the front windscreen wipers and the motor may not have been secured in accordance with required specifications, which may cause the front windscreen wipers to fail.

The hazard
If the front windscreen wipers fail, in the event of rain the driver's vision may be obscured. This will increase the risk of an accident and injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
The remedy
