The defect

The parking brake calipers may not have been manufactured in accordance with required specifications, which could result in the parking brake failing.

The hazard

If the parking brake fails, the vehicle may not remain stationary, increasing the risk of an accident or injury to the vehicle occupants, people walking nearby and other road users.

The remedy
