The defect

Over time, the Automatic Tensioning System (ATS) cable within the safety belt retractors of certain vehicles may break, and the seat belt may not retract.

The hazard

If the seat belt is not retracted, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupant during a collision.

The remedy

Consumers should contact Holden Customer Care on 1800 632 826 to arrange repairs to the vehicle.
