The defect

In affected vehicles the wiring loom may touch the clutch pipe. In a worst case scenario the clutch pipe may rub through the wiring loom insulation creating a short circuit that may cause the engine to stall and not restart.

The hazard

A stalled engine and/or inability to start or restart the engine may pose a safety risk to the driver and/or other road users. In a worst case scenario this could lead to serious injury or death.

The remedy
