The defect

A narrow clearance between the fuel pipe on the engine and the frame may result in the fuel pipe contacting the frame.If the operator continues to use the vehicle with the frame in contact with the fuel pipe , the fuel pipe may be damaged and this may lead to a fuel leak.

The hazard

If fuel leaks in the presence of an ignition source this may cause a fire, increasing the risk of serious injury or death to the vehicle occupants, bystanders and other road users.

The remedy
