The defect

On all affected vehicles the cooling fan can continue to run even when the ignition is switched-off.

The hazard

If the defect occurs it will result in a flat battery and the inability to start the vehicle without roadside assistance.

The remedy

A letter is being sent to affected owners of the vehicles. For further information, consumers can contact any Volkswagen Authorised Service Centre or Volkswagen Assist on 1800 607 822.
