The defect

The affected vehicles may have a leak in the hose on the fuel line. The concern happens due to cracks appearing in the inner layer of the hose in combination with a pressurised system.

The hazard

If the defect occurs there is a risk of a fuel hose leak, the most common symptom being a fuel smell, which may pose a risk of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.
