The defect
The bonding of the sunroof glass panel might deteriorate gradually over time and the glass panel may separate from the vehicle.
The hazard
If the sunroof panel detaches this would increase the risk of an accident and injury and/or death of road users.
The remedy
The check of the tilting/sliding sunroof that has already been performed for certain vehicles under the previous recall (Campaign number: RC2752) must be repeated due to new findings.Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Mercedes-Benz and are asked to make arrangements with their nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the work carried out as soon as possible.A full list of authorised dealerships can be found at https://www.mercedes-benz.com.au/passengercars/mercedes-benz-cars/dealer-locator.htmlAlternatively, consumers may use the Mercedes-Benz online booking service, by visiting www.mercedes-benz.com.au/servicebooking
