The defect

The seatbelt warning (acoustic warning tone and visual display) may occasionally operate rather than continuously, in circumstances such as a seatbelt not fastened or unfastened while the vehicle is moving. If the warning does not sound continuously, a seatbelt may be unbuckled without the driver being informed.

The hazard

If the warning does not sound continuously there is the possibility that a seat belt may be unbuckled without the driver being sufficiently informed. In the event of an accident this may result in injury or death to an unrestrained occupant.

The remedy

Please contact your nearest Authorised Audi Dealer to schedule a service appointment, advising them of this recall so that your appointment is booked at your earliest convenience.
