The defect
A crack may develop in the epoxy resin of the ignition coil from the effects of engine heat, resulting in a potential open circuit or poor connection of the secondary coil winding wire.

The hazard
Chance of engine misfire or damage. In this condition the vehicle may not comply with ADR79 (Emission Control for Light Vehicles).
The remedy
All owners will be contacted by mail. All vehicles will have the ignition coils inspected.
