The defect

When the motorcycle is ridden with either the Genuine Yamaha Accessory Aluminium Top Case (23P-W0754-00) or a similar aftermarket product, the Base box may develop a crack and eventually break.

The hazard

The top case may become completetly detached from the motorcyle.

The remedy

Yamaha will write to all affected owners.Owners are advised to cease using any type of Top Case until further notice from Yamaha Motor Australia.If you no longer own the unit, please advise Yamaha motor Australia on 1300 593 600
