The defect

On some vehicles fitted with a V6 3L HDi 240hp FAP engine, during harsh and prolonged braking, there is a risk of incorrect interpretation of engine oil level information.

The hazard

The defect could cause stalling and loss of control.

The remedy

Citroen will write to owners of affected vehicles.Owners are advised to contact their authorised Citroen dealership to arrange for inspection of their vehicles and the download of a new software version to the engine ECU if necessary.
