The defect
There are two defects to be remedied:(1) The left side of the driver’s side seat slide mechanism may not lock as intended and may allow the driver's seat to move forward in a severe accident.(2) The rear door may become unlatched in the event of a severe side impact.

The hazard
(1) In the event of a severe frontal impact, the driver’s left side seat rail mechanism may not function as intended, possibly resulting in serious injury to the occupant.(2) In the event of a severe side impact, the rear door locks may not function as intended, possibly resulting in serious injury to the occupant.
The remedy
Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by letter.
