The defect

The driver may experience abnormal noise from the rear of the vehicle when driving or when the brakes are applied. In rare cases, this may indicate that one or both of the brake caliper fixings could become detached from the vehicle.

This may lead to loss of a brake circuit function and possible sudden deflation of a tyre, increasing the risk of a vehicle accident.
