The defect

The spiral cables' electrical connection for the driver's side airbag module may become damaged over time. If this occurs, the airbag warning light will illuminate and the driver's airbag may not operate in the event of an accident.

If the defect occurs, the airbag may not protect the driver in the event of a collision.

The remedy

If the airbag warning light remains illuminated, please contact your local Toyota dealer for diagnosis and repair.Owners will be contacted to present their vehicle to a Toyota dealer.
