The defect

The front seat safety belt pretensioners in some vehicles may not lock the cable during pretensioner deployment.

The hazard

If the pretensioner cable does not lock the seat belt during deployment, there is an increased risk of injury to the occupant during a collision.

The remedy

GM Holden Ltd will notify owners of affected vehicles in writing by mail advising that the safety recall has been announced.
