The defect
In certain vehicles, under bonnet fuel hoses have been misrouted. The metal hose clip fitted to the under bonnet fuel hoses, in the mis-routed condition, can chafe a nylon fuel pipe. Over time diesel fuel may leak onto the exhaust manifold or onto the road surface.

The hazard
A fuel leak poses a potential fire and accident hazard to road users.
The remedy
Owners will be notified and instructed to take their vehicle to a Jaguar retailer who will inspect the nylon fuel pipe for chafing damage. If chafing is observed the dealer technician will replace the nylon fuel pipe and correctly route the fuel hoses.If no damage is observed the technician will correctly route the fuel hoses.
