Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

The under floor mounted diesel fuel cooler may leak. A fuel odour may be noticed and over time, drivers may notice an increase in fuel consumption and in some cases liquid fuel puddles may be seen on the ground.

The hazard

Where a leak is present in the diesel fuel cooler, customers are most likely to detect this condition from the outside when the vehicle is stationary. In extreme circumstances there could be a pool of fuel underneath the vehicle, which in the presence of an ignition source could lead to a fire. It is also possible that fuel may leak on to the road surface, which can present a skid hazard to other road users increasing the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Owners will be notified via direct contact and instructed to take their vehicle to a Jaguar retailer who will replace the fuel cooler assembly with a component of revised design free of charge.
