The defect

On affected vehicles the drive axle may break due to a nonconformity in the production process.

If the axle breaks while the vehicle is being driven, this may result in an accident, posing a risk of injury to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

FCA Australia will contact all the affected owners. Consumers will be advised to present their vehicle to their preferred authorised Fiat Dealer for repairs at no charge.Consumers who require further information should contact Fiat Customer Assistance Centre on 1800 870 720.
