The defect

Due to a manufacturing issue the resin weld between the fuel tank and fuel tank inlet pipe could peel off. This may lead to a fuel leak when the tank is full or being refuelled. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may cause a vehicle fire.If this was to occur, vehicle occupants may identify a fuel odour when driving.
