The defect

Due to a wiring issue with the airbag system, the airbag may not deploy as intended.

The hazard

In the event of an accident an airbag not deploying as intended could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicle can contact their authorised Hyundai Truck dealer as soon as possible to have the work carried out, free of charge.Note: Hyundai trucks have advised that there is no chance the airbags will deploy randomly in normal driving conditions or explode when deployed.
