The defect

The vantiy mirror in the left hand internal sunvisor is not glued to the sunvisor, but sits freely in a recess. The vanity glass has no backing material to contain broken pieces.

The hazard

In the event of a frontal collision with the sunvisor in the down position, there is a potential for the vanity mirror to be broken, posing a potential laceration hazard to the occupants.

The remedy

Consumers should contact their nearest dealer to arrange for a replacement sunvisor to be fitted.
