The defect

The satellite sensor for side curtain airbag in the B-Pillar may not have been installed correctly in some Nissan B17 Pulsar and C12 Pulsar vehicles. In extremely rare cases, the curtain airbag may deploy incorrectly.

The hazard

If the defect occurs, the airbag may not adequately protect occupants in the event of a collision.

The remedy

A letter will be sent to affected owners. Customers may contact a local Nissan dealer to arrange for inspection, and, where necessary, rectification of the satellite sensor installation.
