The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect particles may have been trapped between the fuel rail and injectors damaging the seal causing a fuel leak into the engine compartment.

The hazard

Leaked fuel may result in a fire if it makes contact with a hot surface in the engine. This could increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy
