The defect
Due to a manufacturing defect, the front drive sprocket may wear prematurely. As a result the vehicle may experience a loss of propulsion.

The hazard
A loss of propulsion while riding could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to rider(s) and other road users.
The remedy
Owners of affected motorcycles will be contacted by BRP and asked to make an appointment to have the work carried out free of charge.Note: If you wish to continue to ride your vehicle before the sprocket replacement, as a temporary solution we recommend that you go to your dealer for an interim repair procedure.
