The defect

The sensor connection to the rear axle may not meet manufacturing specifications. As a result, the vehicle headlamps may not operate as intended. The range control of the headlamps may calibrate in the opposite direction when the rear bench seat, trunk, or third seat row is in use.

The hazard

If the headlamps of the vehicle do not operate as intended, it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy
