The defect

Due to a software issue, when the master light switch is set to automatic light control, the headlights, tail lamps, park lamps and license plate lamps will be turned ON and the day time running lamps will be turned OFF.

The hazard

The vehicles are not compliant with the Australian Design Rule (ADR13/00)-Installation of Lighting.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by General Motors Australia and New Zealand Pty Ltd and requested to contact their local dealer to have the Body Control Module (BCM) updated Free of charge.
