The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, a plug in the right crankcase cover may become loose. If this occurs, engine oil may leak onto the road and come in contact with the rear tyre. This could result in a loss of vehicle control.

The hazard

A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of an accident, which may cause injury or death to rider and/or passenger or other road users.

The remedy

Owners can contact their nearest Honda Motorcycle Dealer and arrange for their motorcycle to be inspected and repaired, free of charge.Owners should confirm with the Dealer how long they will need to leave the motorcycle at the dealership for the repair to be completed.
