Verify before you act. Recall details and remedies can change. Our database is updated regularly but may not reflect the most recent revisions. Always confirm with vehiclerecalls.gov.au or your vehicle manufacturer before acting on the information below. Read our full disclaimer.

The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the rear tail lamps wiring harness may become lodged between the vehicle body and a foam block. If this occurs, the rear tail lamp may not illuminate as intended.

The hazard

If the rear tail lamp does not operate as intended during dark conditions, the traffic behind will have reduced visibility and may not be able to identify the vehicle. This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.

The remedy

Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Jaguar Land Rover Australia requesting to take their vehicle to an approved dealership for inspection of the rear tail lamp and wiring. If required, the lamp and wiring will be replaced, free of charge.
