The defect

The electrical wiring of the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system fan blower may not meet specifications. This could cause overheating and may melt the plastic material of the fuse leading to a vehicle fire.

The hazard

A vehicle fire could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants, other road users and bystanders, and/or damage to property.

The remedy
