The defect

Due to a manufacturing defect, the emergency exit signs are not correctly illuminated as required by the Australian Design Rules (ADR) 44/02.

The hazard

If the exit signs are not clearly visible, there is an increased risk of injury or death to occupants in case the vehicle is involved in an accident.The vehicle is not compliant with ADR 44/02.

The remedy

When parts are available, owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Yutong in writing, requesting they contact Yutong to arrange replacement of the emergency exit signage, free of charge.
