The defect

Due to a software issue within the Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) the Lane Change Warning Assist (LCWA) feature may not operate as intended. As a result, there is an increased chance of a collision with another vehicle.

The hazard

A loss of LCWA feature could increase the risk of an accident, causing serious injury to vehicle occupants and other road users.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted in writing requesting they contact an Authorised Ford Dealer to have their vehicle rectified free of charge.For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
