The defect

The charge cables fitted to the vehicles are missing the required Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) certification label specified by the Electrical Equipment Safety Systems / Australian Communications Media Authority, EESS/ACMA (RCM AS/NZS 4417.1).

The hazard

In the absence of the necessary labelling, vehicles may not meet the required standards.There is no safety hazard associated with this recall and the defect will not affect the performance of the vehicle.

The remedy

Owners will be contacted in writing requesting they contact an Authorised Ford Dealer to have the charge cable replaced free of charge.For further information, contact any authorised Ford Dealer or Ford Customer Relationship Centre on 13 FORD (13 3673).
